California State Parks and Mendocino Redwood Co. have announced a new program developed in an attempt to control increasing activities involving theft and vandalism along Highway 128 in the area of the Navarro strip in Mendocino County. Persons reporting significant information that materially leads to the arrest and conviction of persons involved in acts of theft or vandalism in the area of the Navarro strip on State Park land or Mendocino Redwood Co. land will be paid $500 by Mendocino Redwood Co., upon the conviction. The State Department of Parks and Recreation particularly wishes to express appreciation to the Mendocino Redwood Co., for their support of State Parks and their environmental concern in regard to resource theft and vandalism in parks. Reports of theft or vandalism activity should be made to State Parks at 937-5804 or Mendocino Redwood Co. at 962-2809
